GEK TERNA, Airbus Sign Major MoU for Military Satellite Comms –


infrastructure and energy group GEK TERNA and European aerospace giant Airbus have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing integrated solutions in across military satellite communications and critical infrastructure resilience.

The partnership combines GEK TERNA’s extensive experience in complex infrastructure, energy, environmental, and digital technology projects — including of Things applications — with Airbus’s advanced technologies and international expertise.

The two groups said they would prioritize maximum participation by Greek industry and the technology sector, along with technology and knowledge transfer, aimed at fostering innovation and building domestic expertise to support a robust and competitive national ecosystem in the areas of critical infrastructure protection and defense.

The collaboration will begin with a military satellite program, under which Airbus will provide European solutions designed to guarantee security and national autonomy, the companies said.

Both organizations said the agreement was of strategic significance and aligned with GEK TERNA’s broader ambition to play a leading role in sectors vital to national resilience and economic development, while supporting Airbus’s goal of deepening a presence in Greece that now spans two decades.
